Best Folk-Rock EP in Nashville 2026: Sayryn, Novella
Bryn Jahna Colodny and Saya Santaquilani came together as Sayryn (pronounced like “siren”) a couple of years back. Their debut album Cautionary Tales led to a steady stream of shows and a recent tour, while the duo continued developing their sound and honing lyrics. The result is this year’s Novella EP, in which a deepening interest in literary themes collides with a crystallization of the band’s gothic folk sound, created in collaboration with drummer and producer Alex Trewyn. It’s the perfect soundtrack for your next visit to an abandoned Victorian mansion on a stormy October night.
