Best Pop Artist in Nashville 2026: book NOT brooke
With the release of her debut record Dancer First, eclectic pop phenomenon book NOT brooke has taken Nashville by storm this year. She’s created a glittery, grotesquely beautiful world complete with dance-heavy performance art, multifaceted costuming, over-the-top makeup looks and luminous set design. It’s all wrapped up in an alt-pop, synth-y experimental sound that leans into fun — something that sometimes gets lost amid the grind that living and working in the world today can be. The alter ego of multi-instrumentalist Brooke Vespoli has played a huge role in bringing dance music back to the fore in Nashville this year, encouraging fans to let go of their egos and join in.
