It sounds like a disaster that’d appeal only to the drunkest of cheese fiends, but the macaroni-and-cheese sandwich at Goozy is surprisingly — well, amazing. A generous but not overbearing helping of rich creamy-cheesy mac, made with sharp cheddar and Parmesan, is evenly spread between glistening, golden-crusted slices of bread and topped with fresh chives (and if you’d like, Benton’s bacon). It’s totally indulgent, yet not so gluttonous that you’d turn down dessert afterwards.
