Yes, the pho referred to in the restaurant’s name is quite good, but my favorite item there is the barbecue pork banh mi — essentially a traditional banh mi, but with the pork barbecued instead of simply roasted. The smoky, slightly sweet flavor of the meat combined with the fixin’s and served on terrific French bread is mouth-wateringly good. For a mere $3.50 ($3.82 with tax), it’s one of the best lunch (or for that matter, dinner) values you’ll find. But be sure to ask for the barbecue version, as both styles are available. And beware: They sometimes sell out.
