The first time I tried Butchertown Hall’s brisket-grind double burger was one of the most jaw-dropping food experiences of the year, literally and figuratively. Two generous patties are piled atop a bun with American (!) cheese, pickles, onion and mayo. It’s like the greatest reinvention of a Big Mac you could imagine. And the brisket-grind beef makes for a truly unique experience, both in flavor and texture. It’s not cheap: With a side included, it’s $12 at lunch, $14 at dinner. But it is enormous and can feed two people. (I have yet to eat more than a half in one sitting.) Also, be sure to try the Brussels sprouts available only at dinner, the best in town.
