She’s best known as a TV personality (including as a judge on Chopped), but admirers of Maneet Chauhan’s work as a cookbook author and restaurant chef in New York and Chicago praise her knack for taking the vibrant palette of spices from her native India and applying those flavors in innovative ways. It all makes Chauhan Ale & Masala House one of the more promising concepts our city has ever seen — and a recent tasting only heightened the anticipation.
