Hot and cold, yin and yang, fried chicken and soft serve. It seems so obvious, now that Hattie has dropped her damn-hot bird next to Bobbie’s chocolate-dipped cones. With poultry that sears and ice cream that salves, the stretch of Charlotte Avenue across from Wendell Smith’s has become a land of extremes, including extremely long lines and extremely satisfied appetites.
