The best juice places in town peddle the cold-pressed variety, the upside of which is more nutrients than a heat-generated juicer. The newly opened Post East offers a dozen excellent selections bearing names like Grounded (beet-based) and The Greenway; co-owner Tonya Lewis rallied to name the latter “Shelby Bottoms” but her friends sagely convinced her otherwise. Across the river, Juice Nashville started as a delivery business and still sells out at farmers markets; a 2013 Kickstarter campaign led to their brick-and-mortar store in the Gulch. They’ve cornered the three-day juice-cleanse market and have a fanatical following of customers who need their fix. Life-affirming, and the drinking’s easy.
