Elodie Habert emigrated from France, so Cocorico French Bakery and Café isn’t just a cute name. It’s an actual French bakery. But despite the croissants (almond and chocolate) and the madeleines, the reason I go back again and again is the G.O.A.T. Sandwich. This dish earns its name as the best vegetarian sandwich in the city, if not of all time. The goat-cheese spread, cucumber, red onion and arugula are nestled on a fresh baguette. None of the flavors overpower each other, and it’s big enough to be filling but not too much to be too much.
