Confession time: Until this year, I never had a falafel I liked. Do I have access to a lot of good falafel in The Nations? Not really. Still, my lack of falafel love has been my dirty culinary secret — until I tried King Tut’s. Finally, I got the hype! Their mix of chickpeas, herbs and spices is super seasoned. It’s fried until shatteringly crunchy on the outside but creamy within. For me, that’s the key: the creamy-crunchy dichotomy I could never find before. Gild the lily by dunking it in their buttery tahini or luscious hummus, or enjoy your balls naked.
