Best Football Victory
in Nashville 2026: Vanderbilt Beats Tennessee
The Commodores put an exclamation point on the best regular season in school history when No. 14 Vandy smashed No. 19 Tennessee 45-24 in November. It was Vandy’s first victory over its archrival in the past seven years, and the ’Dores’ first win in Knoxville since 2017. Vanderbilt rolled up 579 yards of offense in the contest, with former star quarterback Diego Pavia accounting for 433 yards and two touchdowns. Trailing 21-14 at one point, Vanderbilt outscored the Vols 31-3 to close out the game and secure the Commodores’ first 10-win season.
