Best Player on a Bad Team in Nashville 2026: Jeffery Simmons
Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons couldn’t single-handedly lift his team to a winning record in 2025, but he did just about everything else. The 29-year-old Simmons produced career highs of 11 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, along with 67 tackles, to earn first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his seven-year career. The Titans responded in kind for Simmons during the offseason, signing him to a three-year, $105.8 million contract extension that — at the time — made him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history.
Past Best of Nashville wins: Jeffery Simmons also took Best Titans Player in the Readers' Poll in 2025 and 2024. In our Writers’ Choice they’ve been named Best Tennessee Titan (2023) and Best Titan (2022).
