Day-Glo colors and reflective surfaces make Marcus Manganni’s “SHU” the vaporwave monument of your dreams. Manganni, who is based in Brooklyn, came through Nashville a few years ago to install “Bending Normal” in The Packing Plant’s front lawn. “SHU” takes its name from the Special Housing Unit of a prison — the star shapes that are formed in the sculpture’s reflections are both far-out and a little claustrophobic. It’s the sculptural equivalent of the space between the words “prism” and “prison.” LAURA HUTSON HUNTER
