Nashville’s Isaac Q. Horton, who records and performs as Iven, cut the astounding 23-minute song suite Little Lady #1 by himself in his washing room. Horton’s guitar parts echo bossa nova, jazz and Pavement, and his bedroom-album aesthetic shines on the record’s “Cut Off My Head,” which is like a ’70s Hall & Oates tune turned sideways. EDD HURT
