Nashville has long had a vibrant drag community. The Playmates — a rotating cast of talent that frequently performs at Play and currently includes stunners like Vanity, The Princess and Nichole Ellington Dupree — have been delighting fans for years. But in 2018, one local queen stood a little taller than the others: Kameron Michaels, aka “Bodybuilder Barbie,” competed on Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She made it all the way to the finale, ultimately coming in as a runner-up to winner Aquaria. She also impressed critics and viewers alike with her fierce performance skills. Not only was she dubbed the season’s “lip-sync assassin,” but Michaels was also the first contestant to survive three consecutive lip-sync battles. Get it, girl. You’re forever the muscle queen of our hearts. MEGAN SELING
