Best Way to Get Kids to Read in Nashville 2026: Imagination Library
Following the death of Nashville’s queen Dolly Parton, a spotlight has been on the country legend’s 31-year-old Imagination Library, the ambitious project that delivers books to children from birth to 5 years old. Each month your child receives a book in the mail — and we’re talking classics like Good Night, Gorilla as well as contemporary releases like Hair Love — so your child gets a great variety. That’s 60 books to fill your shelves and help your child learn to read and appreciate books. This program is 100 percent free and available to all children in Tennessee. Thank you, Dolly.
