In the dog park desert of South Nashville, Pitts Dog Park is a refuge. The park is large, with plenty of running room, but the best part is the off-leash trail. It’s a wooded area, about 0.3 miles long, which is deep enough to feel like you’re in the forest, but close enough to hear the neighborhood roosters. With varying terrain, you can get a good workout while your dog runs miles and miles around you, oblivious to the fact that they’re contained by a fence.
