With all the great new restaurants opening in town, it was inevitable that there would be some corresponding closures due to competition and rising rents. Neighborhood favorites Rumba and tayst both made graceful exits from the market, giving loyal patrons enough notice for a few fond farewell meals. Some of the staff and dishes at Rumba have migrated to Jackson’s in Hillsboro Village, and chef Jeremy Barlow still plies his trade at Sloco, his 12South sandwich shop.
