Best Chance to Capitalize on Being the ‘It City’

The effort to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to town has built momentum at an incredible pace and given that league’s executives plenty to consider as they move toward adding four teams in the coming years. We have a billionaire, John Ingram, providing the money. We have prominent citizens, civic leaders and officials with every significant sports entity in town endorsing the bid. And we have a potential fan base teeming with soccer-loving millennials and immigrants in a city that unfailingly puts its best foot forward when needed, because — let’s face it — this city’s best foot kicks ass.
