With all of the Trump administration’s hard-line stances on immigration, the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition has had a helluva year. But under the leadership of Lindsey Harris and Stephanie Teatro, TIRRC has responded in rapid fashion and with stunning power. Whether it’s the president’s executive orders on immigration or his administration rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, there’s not an issue they’re not ready to defend — even if it’s unfortunate they’ve had to keep their guard up the whole year.
