Best Coach

Haven’t heard of Brandon Rosenthal? Rest assured everyone in the college volleyball world has. In 14 seasons at Lipscomb, he has taken his team to seven NCAA Tournaments, including one as an at-large bid (a first for an Atlantic Sun Conference program). He has won more than 60 percent of his matches overall and 77 percent in conference play, and he once had a 46-match A-Sun win streak. He and his program are competing — and succeeding — on a national level in an area where the sport doesn’t exactly have a prominent presence. DAVID BOCLAIR
