There was a lot of baby action at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere over the past year or so — Bandit the alpaca was born just before the New Year, and two little clouded leopard cubs joined the team in March — but the best of them all was baby Enzi, the Masai giraffe born July 8. Enzi was 6 feet 6 inches tall and 171 pounds when he made his debut, with his wrinkly little giraffe face and eyelashes longer than my middle finger. The next time you’re having a shitty day, Enzi can help — just search “giraffe kisses her baby Nashville Zoo at Grassmere” on YouTube and watch until your bad mood melts away.
