Among Open Table’s accomplishments are helping find homes for tenants kicked out of James Robertson Towers last spring and standing guard at various homeless encampments as city officials attempted to dismantle them. Open Table Nashville also partnered with the Metro Homelessness Commission’s “How’s Nashville” program to move 90 people into permanent housing in the city. The organization not only helps people get into housing, it works to educate the community about cycles of poverty, and its staff members are friends to many struggling Nashvillians.
