Even though the cultural, economic and geographic landscapes of Music City are all in flux, the communal spirit that makes our music scene vibrant and dynamic is alive and well. No concert illustrated that better than WTB’s two laid-back “friends” gigs at Tyler’s family restaurant. Each featured a warm-up set of originals followed by a revolving cast of locals — from Jemina Pearl, Courtney Jaye and Kurt Wagner to Evan P. Donohue, Cortney Tidwell and Tristen — singing their favorite covers with the band, gliding from swampy soul to breezy pop to ferocious punk with ease.
