Best Avant-Garde Performance

World-renowned performance artist Laurie Anderson was at OZ Arts in March and presented a program of multimedia songs and stories about ordinary people leading lives of quiet (and often farcical) desperation. Anderson conveyed her stories in a soothing singsong, and she delivered her punchlines with devastating effect — transfixing her appreciative audience.
