Some of the best roller rink action in the state will be on display Saturday at The Fairgrounds Nashville as Nashville Roller Derby hosts a Heated Rivalry-themed doubleheader with Memphis Roller Derby in celebration of Pride. Game one will start at 5 p.m. with the Nashville Roller Derby All Stars taking on the Memphis Roller Derby A-Tracks. Game two begins at 7 when the Nashville Roller Derby Brawl Stars face off against the Memphis Roller Derby B-Sides. The Brawl Stars’ last bout came in late May against the Rocket City Roller Derby in Huntsville, Ala., while the All Stars haven’t hit the rink since an April showdown at home against the Richmond, Va.-based River City Riots. Both squads should be well-rested for a brutal battle against their hated — and heated — in-state rivals.
