Back from her post-breakup sojourn in Mexico, Kacey Musgraves is bringing her tour in support of Middle of Nowhere to her adopted hometown with a two-night Bridgestone Arena stint. The excellent album, which was released in May, features the two highest-charting songs of Musgraves’ career: the hilarious innuendo-fest “Dry Spell” and the sultry instant line-dancing anthem “Mexico Honey.” I’m excited to see her cinematic tunes performed on a big stage. One of the coolest aspects of the tour is how many different openers are being showcased throughout, including Scene favorites like Carter Faith and Charles Wesley Godwin. In Nashville, country-Americana band Flatland Cavalry is opening both nights. Fun fact: Flatland Cavalry lead singer Cleto Cordero is married to country singer-songwriter (and Oklahoma! super-fan) Kaitlin Butts.
