Nashville hoops fans will get their first taste of March Madness in 2026 with the return of the Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament to Bridgestone Arena. Including this year’s edition, 11 of the past 16 iterations of the contest have taken place in Nashville. And if it’s anything like the 2025 version, the five-day, 16-team affair will have a major impact on this month’s NCAA Tournament bracket. The SEC won’t be sending a record-breaking 14 teams to the Big Dance as they did last season, but, as of press time, 11 of the conference’s teams are firmly in the discussion for a tournament bid. The competition will also give local Vanderbilt fans a chance to see the ’Dores in a postseason format prior to the NCAA Tournament. Vandy is having its best season in ages, and the SEC Tournament could be a good jumping-off point heading into a pressure-packed March Madness for the program.

Through March 15 at Bridgestone Arena

501 Broadway
