It’s like a kid’s idea for solving the problem of book bans: What if a book were really, really big? Too big to be banned? It’s the thought behind Unbannable Library, dreamed up by Paul Collins and executed by a host of artists. After popping up all over Middle Tennessee last year like pachyderms on parade, the Unbannable Library books trundled their way to Elephant Gallery for Unbannable. Having them all together in one room did indeed feel like there was strength in numbers — and best yet, the project continues this year with more and more giant books, both here in Nashville and beyond.
