Willie Nelson turned 80 years old in April and celebrated in style, taping an episode of CMT Crossroads at Third Man Records. The Redheaded Stranger jammed with Jack White, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Jamey Johnson, Leon Russell and Ashley Monroe, making him in effect the hippest 80-year-old alive, if not ever. Neil Young sang it best when he captivated the room with a rare rendition of “Long May You Run” — “I wrote it for my car, but it works for you great,” Young told the birthday boy.
