Movie geeks got awfully itchy waiting a fortnight between late-night whatsits such as Miami Connection, An American Hippie in Israel, and the biggest cult item of recent years, Tommy Wiseau’s incitement to cutlery bombardment The Room. Good thing The Belcourt’s taking these loose cannons off the streets, offering double the intros by Scene contributor Jason Shawhan, double the inspired pre-show material by Zack Hall — and best of all, double the wild-card selections. Though whoever booked Space Jam better sleep with one Tex Avery-sized eye open.
