Best Show at a Hot Wings Place

With sets from Natural Child’s reggae-covers alter ego Natural Lion, blues-rocking newcomers Thunderbitch (fronted by Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard) and more, this December show at East Side wing joint Ghot Wingz was one of the most unlikely and entertaining parties of the past year. Between the cheap hunch punch and the fumes from Howard making her entrance on the back of a motorcycle, some of the patrons ended up a little lightheaded, but that’s the kind of party the Scene can get behind.
