While a late-morning meal out has become a bit more of a decadent affair over the years, there’s no reason brunch can’t be a force for good. All-ages nonprofit DIY music venue Drkmttr has been hosting an online auction on the Givebutter platform, and to coincide with its conclusion on Sunday, organizers have put together a special benefit brunch at the venue. In addition to entry, your $30 ticket gets you snacks prepped by chef Diana Lee Zadlo (whose shaved ice concoctions at her That’s It! pop-up we recognized in our Best of Nashville issue last year) and two drink tickets for mimosas and mocktails from Merry Co. Musician Bruce Ervin will provide a live ambient soundtrack, and the nonprofit’s directors and board members will share updates about the organization and how you can get involved. (It’s worth emphasizing that this event is tied to the auction’s end, but you don’t have to go to the brunch to bid, and you aren’t bidding by buying brunch tix — though you can bid during the event.) As of this writing, the full list of auction items wasn’t available, but exciting offerings were already posted, including a miniature replica of Drkmttr’s super cool moon-and-stars stage backdrop, a Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar and posters from iconic print shop Hatch Show Print.
