16 years after Video Store Day officially began, our city is finally getting in on the action with the inaugural Nashville Video Store Day celebration on Oct. 17. The festivities are being hosted in tandem by Press Play Video and Danger Zone Video, along with help from other local shops. Press Play will be set up at the Yazoo Brewing Taproom in Madison, while Danger Zone will hold down the fort at their storefront in Mt. Juliet. Exclusive VSD releases are coming to both locations from the likes of MVD, 88 Films, Deaf Crocodile, Troma and more. Getting everything on your list probably requires checking out both parties (25 minutes between them) — thankfully each stop will feature plenty of food, drinks, DJs and more movies than you know what to do with. Danger Zone opens at 10 a.m. and the Press Play party kicks off at 11.
10 a.m. at Danger Zone Video, 11942 Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet &
11 a.m. at Yazoo Taproom, 900 River Bluff Drive in Madison
