The holidays just wouldn’t be complete without The Theater Bug’s annual winter concert. And with Holiday Mixtape, this incredible nonprofit wrapped up the perfect seasonal treat — with a “totally radical” ’80s twist. Young performers (ranging in age from 6 to 17) delivered a great mix of songs from the MTV era — complete with classic dance moves. Laura Matula’s polished arrangements amped up the fun, and the kids were backed by top-notch musicians. From the opening number (Run-DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis”) to the big Dirty Dancing finale, the Bug made sure we all had “the time of our lives.”
