Penelope the red ruffed lemur was born to first-time mom Phoebe on April 20 and immediately captured hearts with her wide-eyed stare and rosy fluff. As if that wasn’t enough, Penelope’s birth was celebrated as a step forward for her critically endangered species. She may be part of a conspiracy — a group of lemurs, that is — but Penelope’s cuteness is no joke.
