In years past, Metro had at best a scattershot plan for how to coordinate where people living on the streets can go when temperatures drop dangerously low. But this past winter, by uniting volunteers and partnering with Nashville Rescue Mission, Room at the Inn and Oasis Center, the Metro Homelessness Commission’s impressive Web and social media efforts made escaping the elements much easier.
