When he’s not nurturing health care start-ups with JumpStart Foundry or working on that book that he successfully Kickstartered, Marcus Whitney has been working on something, well, unexpected: trying to make entrepreneurs out of people who are typically the least likely to do so. First up: a partnership with Oasis Center called “Venture Oasis,” providing mentorship and encouragement of entrepreneurial hustle to disadvantaged and at-risk kids. Unlikely, maybe.
