In the shitstorm that is the Metro school board, most days are a barrage of passionate attacks against what members sincerely believe is wrong, whether it’s with charter schools, leadership or each other. But Mary Pierce, a charter school supporter, has kept a level head, adding constructive dialogue, asking relevant questions and keeping lines of communication open on a board where it is all too easy to declare war and shut out the other side.
