Over the past two years, there’s been no more effective school board member than Will Pinkston, who has shepherded the budget and articulated a policy to manage charter growth. He has been one of the few voices talking about English language learners and pushing accountability at the MNPS central office. A bomb-thrower? Sure. But there’s never a doubt where he stands, unlike much of the board. Even when we disagree with him, we appreciate his clear, passionate advocacy for his positions.
