When the 13th season of Project Runway premiered in July, a surprise return guest was announced: Nashville’s Amanda Valentine. She originally competed in Season 11 and was a fan favorite, bucking the reality show trend by being — wait for it — immensely likable. She’s equally awesome in person, naturally, but it’s her designs, informed by her myriad varied inspirations, that truly won her a second chance. Regardless of what happens, she can count Nashville as her No. 1 fan.
