When it comes to the lacking quantity and quality of sidewalks in Nashville, awareness is not the problem. But turning anecdotes into action takes some organizing, and that’s what Stacy Dorris has been up to. Dorris was rallying her West Nashville neighbors around the need for more sidewalks (and complete ones) before a Metro Council debate in February brought it to the forefront. Since then she’s helped keep the issue on the local media radar.
