As a little treat for surviving another blistering Nashville summer, local radio stalwart WNXP is hosting a series of free concerts featuring some of the most exciting acts of the moment. Next up on the docket at Nashville Yards is Blondshell, the indie-rock outlet of songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum. Blondshell is gearing up for the release of their third studio album, Violins, out Sept. 25 on Partisan Records. The follow-up to last year’s If You Asked for a Picture promises to deliver bigger and better versions of what Blondshell does best: confessional songwriting, grungy production and endless cool-girl energy. With any luck, crowd members at the free, all-ages show Thursday will get to hear the crushing lead single “Heart Has to Work So Hard” and maybe even “Docket,” Blondshell’s collaboration with local favorite and recent WNXP Summer Line Series headliner Bully. Tickets to see Blondshell and local indie-rocking opener Caroline Carter are available for reservation at wnxp.org.

7 p.m. at The Landing at Nashville Yards

131 10th Ave. N.
