Why spend your Halloween stuck on the couch, eating leftover candy and watching cheesy horror flicks, when you can hang with musical improv favorite Cherry Bomb? That crafty crew is back at the City Winery this Saturday, and ready to celebrate the spooky season with Final Girl: The Improvised Horror Musical. Inspired by a single audience suggestion, Cherry Bomb promises to serve up a frighteningly funny show honoring all those classic horror movie tropes — from “creepy cabins and cursed dolls to masked killers, suspicious basements and, of course, the iconic Final Girl.” As with the group’s long-running hit show East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musical, audiences can look forward to crazy characters, endless plot twists and the occasional power ballad, with killer musical accompaniment provided by the always fabulous Alex Dolezal. The cast features plenty of familiar faces, including Caroline Conner, Gabe Cyrus, Seth Nathan Green, Amelia Rossettie and Cammie York, plus Emma Supica and Briley Barnett. It’s sure to be a bloody good time for all.
