Last month, Slow Burn Bookshop was faced with a nightmare: A neighbor’s sprinkler system went off, and Nashville’s first all-romance brick-and-mortar bookstore flooded. Luckily, Tonya Pineda’s locally beloved, vine-clad shop on Gallatin Avenue is back on its feet and open for business — and it’s getting ready to celebrate its second anniversary all weekend long. With a jam-packed schedule that includes author signings, pop-ups from tattoo artists and local vendors, and free gifts with purchase and special merch offerings, the celebration is sure to impress the romance fan in your life — and it’s a great way to support the store as it continues to bounce back. The weekend kicks off with an after-hours event on Thursday, featuring signings and a conversation with authors L.R. Friedman and T.C. Kraven. RSVP for free online.
