The Pet Community Center is one of those underappreciated resources you wish everyone knew about. My wife and I helped take care of a coterie of stray felines thanks to the PCC’s trap-neuter-return program, which not only allowed us to get some troublesome ferals fixed but also helped us house a kitten that might not have survived life in the alleyway. (Thanks for adopting her, former neighbors!) On top of that, PCC’s services are free or low-cost, which brings us to their upcoming fundraiser, the Fur Ball. The gala features a silent auction that includes guitars, pet artwork and a trip to Mexico.
