OK, OK. So the Alison Krauss gigs at the Ryman aren’t officially part of AmericanaFest this weekend. But it’s Alison Krauss … at the Ryman … during AmericanaFest. You gotta go, right? For those picking up a copy of the local weekly who may be unfamiliar: Krauss is undisputed bluegrass royalty. She’s a 27-time Grammy winner who cut the trendsetting album Raising Sand with Robert Plant in 2007 (plus the underrated follow-up Raise the Roof in 2021) alongside the band Union Station and delivers one of the finest shows in roots music. This week, Krauss returns to the Mother Church of Country Music for a three-night run in support of the 2025 album Arcadia, the first Krauss & Union Station LP in 14 years. Get to your pew early to catch an opening set from old-school rock ’n’ roller Theo Lawrence.
