Frogge was one of the only board members willing to speak up when the slate of superintendent candidates came back lacking a female candidate. She isn’t afraid of a debate, but she manages to make a strong argument without bigfooting people. And if you take a look at this year’s election results, it’s apparent she knows how to deliver an ass-kicking, bringing in double the votes while spending considerably less than her opponent. Anybody who can mobilize an “army of moms” for months ahead of an August election has our attention. AMANDA HAGGARD
