Let’s go back to March 15, when the following message came from @MtJulietPolice on Twitter: “TRAFFIC ADVISORY: E Division St near Beckwith Rd | Report of several goats in roadway. Officer enroute.” To get the point across, the hero running the department’s account added a GIF showing dozens of goats gleefully hopping over bales of hay. Then five days later, on March 20: “Two goats & a pony have escaped out of a backyard in the 100 block of Greystone Rd. Call us if you see them.” Later that day: “Goats & Pony Update: They’ve been located on a nearby street. Officers are working to corral them,” with a photo of the fugitives. Then, finally, resolution: “Officers have successfully wrangled the three goats & pony, and they are back home.” Even if you live miles, even states, away from Mt. Juliet, you should follow the MJPD.
