I know you’ve made fun of the “I Escaped” bumper stickers and Instagram posts, but once you set foot into one of the elaborately built sets of The Escape Game, you’ll understand why people want to brag for making it out. The highly sophisticated 60-minute games — ranging from a botched mission to Mars to an impending terrorist attack — require you and your pals/co-workers/fellow bachelorettes to solve a series of complex puzzles with little to no guidance while a giant clock counts down to your impending doom. In order to escape — and only 7 percent of teams do from the most challenging game — you need to remain calm, work together and avoid the urge to punch your one dumb friend in the face. It’s team building at its finest without the stupid trust falls. NANCY FLOYD
